Penguin Books Australia have teamed up with the McGrath Foundation and turned a selected range of the much loved Penguin Classics Pink for a limited time only. In total there are twelve (12) titles gone pink for the promotion, with $1 from the sale of these books going to the McGrath foundation.
The popular twelve titles include Lewis Carol’s ‘Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland’; Gustave Flaubert’s ‘Madame Bovary’; Patrick Suskind’s ‘Perfume: The Story of a Murderer’, Jane Austen’s ‘Pride and Prejudice’; Virginia Wolf’s ‘A Room of One’s Own’; Anais Nin’s ‘ A Spy in the House of Love’; Emily Bronte’s ‘Wuthering Heights’; Turman Copote’s ‘Breakfast At Tiffany’s’; F. Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘The Great Gatsby’; Charlotte Bronte’s ‘Jane Eyre’; Nancy Mitford’s ‘Love in a Cold Climate’ and for the first time ever (as far as I’m aware anyway), Monica McInerney’s ‘Alphabet Sisters’.
The McGrath foundation was initiated by Jane and Glenn McGrath in the hopes of raising some much needed money and support for specialised Breast Cancer Care Nurses throughout Australia. To date, this foundation is one of the most widely known and supported foundations dealing with Breast Cancer in Australia.
