It’s Monday! What Are You Reading?

Hosted by Sheila @ Book Journey

Slow reading week once again due to work, boo. That said, I did get to write up three reviews for work last week – Storm Clouds by Bronwyn Parry, The Maxwell Sisters by Loretta Hill, and B.J Novak’s The Book With No Pictures. I’ve half done another two – Fly In Fly Out by Georgina Penney and Runaway Lies by Shannon Curtis. And because I’ve been writing reviews for work, I’ve been hitting them pretty hard here as well, so expect a fair few in the next two weeks šŸ™‚

In other news I got to do something a bit different on the weekend. On Saturday I went to the Opera house to see a silent film play with a live Orchestra which was pretty special. The movie playing was The Artist and all in all the experience was not only a lot of fun, but unique and not something I’m going to forget any time soon.

Finally I hope you have a fantastic Australia Day Long Weekend! Don’t forget if you haven’t already checked them out there are 41 book bloggers and Authors giving away free stuff this weekend as part of the Australian Day Blog Hop as hosted by the lovely Shelleyrae @ Book’d Out. There’s still time to enter to win books and much more, but be quick because most of the giveaways end at midnight tomorrow (Tuesday 27th). I’m giving away TWO books as part of the blog hop – an e-copy of Lee Christine’s IN SAFE KEEPING (open internationally) and a signed hardback copy of Kurt Fearnley’s Sport Biography (which is brilliant by the way) PUSHING THE LIMITS. Click here to enter, or click here to see the other list of other participating blogs.

And finally, Wednesday 28th January marks two years of The Never Ending Bookshelf which is pretty damn amazing, and to celebrate I’m giving away a bunch of books so keep checking back over the coming days for your chance to win more books šŸ™‚
