Waiting On Wednesday: The One Impossible Labyrinth by Matthew Reilly (Jack West Jnr Bk. 7)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly event hosted at Breaking the Spine. The purpose is to spotlight upcoming releases that we are excited for.

It’s no secret that I really enjoy Matthew Reilly’s non-stop action adventure books. Each one I’ve read has been a wild ride that has not disappointed, but this next one is going to be so bittersweet. The One Impossible Labyrinth is the seventh and final Jack West Jnr novel (my favourite of his series). I’m so looking forward to it!

Reilly - The One Impossible Labyrinth

Expected Publication: 12th October 2021

Published by: Pan MacMillan Australia

THE END IS HERE

Jack West Jr has made it to the Supreme Labyrinth.

Now he faces one last race-against multiple rivals, against time, against the collapse of the universe itself-a headlong race that will end at a throne inside the fabled labyrinth.

AN IMPOSSIBLE MAZE

But the road will be hard.

For this is a maze like no other: a maze of mazes. Uncompromising and complex. Demanding and deadly.

A CATACLYSMIC CONCLUSION

It all comes down to this.

For it ends here-now-in the most lethal and dangerous place Jack has encountered in all of his many adventures. And in the face of this indescribable peril, with everything on the line, there is only one thing he can do.

Attempt the impossible.

I used to read all of his books. I’ve read a few in this series, but have missed the last 4, I might have to reread them and get the ones I’m missing if the adventure stays exciting all the way through the series.

I’ll admit I’m one book behind at the moment and desperately hoping to read it before the next book releases next month. I’ve really enjoyed this series, and think it edges out the Scarecrow series to be my favourite of Matthew Reilly’s series (my Mum and sister are die-hard Scarecrow fans so that’s a big call in my household).

Yes, that’s a big call. I’ve got 7,6,5,& 3, so I’m missing a few. I’ll wait til I have time to read them all and hunt them down.
