What are we going to do?
You dad, does he snore too?
My dad snores so much that no one else can sleep . . . until we find a really clever solution!

My Dad Snores written by John Williamson and illustrated by Peter Carnavas is a laugh-out-loud and oh-so-relateable picture book.

Essentially the narrative is about a family who are being tormented by Dad’s snoring. They try everything they can to get him to stop – using headphones, kicking him, pegging his nose – but are eventually worn down when nothing works. Throughout the narrative, they continually ask the reader what would they do? and does your Dad snore too? as though they were looking for suggestions. Ultimately the family resorts to some drastic, but hilarious, measures to make sure they too can get some quality sleep.

I loved everything about this book. John Williamson’s text is spot on, and you can almost hear him singing the book to you! I wasn’t familiar with Peter Carnavas’ illustration style prior to this book, but I absolutely love his take on the story. His depictions of the frazzled family are hilarious and spot-on, and I just can not get enough of it.

Overall the book has a feel-good vibe to it that makes it the perfect present to give your snoring Dad this Father’s Day!
